The Quantachrome / IQ-Chemi Device is used for physical adsorption studies on solid samples. Physical adsorption studies are mainly done to obtain the surface area, pore size distribution and pore shape of a sample. The device can simultaneously measure the surface area and pore size with the physique-sorption technique, while analyzing metal dispersion and metal surface areas using the bone-sorption technique.
