HÜBTUAM Authorization Certificate Ceremony at Our University

As a result of the cooperation carried out by the Ministry of Health, Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency on the testing of medical devices, the Authorization Certificate of the Hitit University Scientific Technical Application and Research Center (HÜBTUAM) was successfully completed. In this context, the Dental Implant Analysis Authorization Certificate Ceremony was held at our University HÜBTUAM.

The ceremony was attended by Çorum Governor Necmeddin Kılıç, Çorum Deputies Ahmet Sami Ceylan and Lüftiye İlksen Ceritoğlu Kurt, our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan, President of the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency Dr. Hakkı Gürsöz and institution officials, TSO Chairman of the Board Çetin Başaranhıncal, AK Party Provincial Chairman Mehmet Karadağ and many guests attended.

HÜBTUAM Director Prof. Dr. Kurtbaş: `` 'We Are Aiming To Be An International Laboratory'

Prof. Dr. İrfan Kurtbaş stated, “As HÜBTUAM, they are working to serve both the city and the region and continued as follows:“ We are in an effort to serve the private sector and the public. The authorization process of Hitit University Scientific Technical Application and Research Center (HÜBTUAM) was completed as a result of the cooperation carried out by the Ministry of Health, Turkey Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency on the testing of medical devices. We have reached this stage after 30 months of long work. Most of the dental implant tests were done abroad and the resources were transferred abroad. Dental implant mechanical tests can now be done in HÜBTUAM. In addition, we will carry out sterilization studies in cooperation with the Atomic Energy Authority and private company. This is one of our medium-term goals. In the long run, we aim to make HÜBTUAM an international laboratory. Turkey Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency President Dr. Hakkı Gürsöz said that the Dental Implant Analysis Authorization Certificate was given to Hitit University Scientific Technical Application and Research Center (HÜBTUAM) after a long study. Speaking at the delivery ceremony of the Dental Implant Analysis Authorization Certificate given to HÜBTUAM by the Turkish Medicine and Medical Device Agency of the Ministry of Health. Stating that the issuance of the authorization certificate is a beginning, Hakkı Gürsöz said, “Laboratory services are one of our essentials. Control of medicines and medical devices used by our people is very important. Last year, we consumed 2 billion 160 million boxes of medicine. Millions of medical devices have been used and their safety is very important. Laboratories also carry out the controls. Universities come into play here. Hitit University also aspired to perform mechanical tests on dental implants. Now, after a long study, we are at the stage of issuing the authorization certificate. This is a beginning and our work will continue to expand ”. Dr. Hakkı Gürsöz noted that Turkey has taken steps towards localization and nationalization in every field and said, “In the coming days, we will increase localization in medical devices. Currently, 85 percent of medical devices come from abroad. We have started work to reverse this picture. We are negotiating with industrialists. It should be our goal to operate this laboratory at full capacity. In addition to dental implant mechanical tests, we are now working on glucose meter tests here. We are currently conducting this study with a university. HÜBTUAM will be the "second university" to conduct these tests in Turkey and will become an alternative center. Our first priority was this laboratory. The goal I set for this Center in 2012 was about quality-oriented and non-standard work. It is very gratifying that such a project emerged in 5 years. It is very proud for me to bring such an investment together with such a cooperation. ” He said, “We have brought the Dental Implant Analysis Authorization Certificate process to this point with a process of about 3 years and an intense work force. "We were entitled to take this laboratory as the first and only in Turkey."

Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan said, “As you know, a circular was issued recently regarding the 11th Development Plan. The main element of the circular was one of the striking factors that there should be an information society, not only using technology but also producing ”. Prof. Dr. Alkan stated that, based on the importance of Public-Industry-University (KUSI) cooperation, it will leave the initiative of rectors and administrators and become a legal responsibility or obligation, adding that quality is as important as quantity and quality is also very important.

Stating that our university is 3rd among the state universities participating from Turkey according to the results of GreenMetric 2016 World University Rankings, Prof. Dr. Alkan stated that not only the education provided, but also the issues of how sensitive you have an environmentally friendly campus have gained great importance.

Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan said, “Public universities need to raise their standards and offer great opportunities to students. Now there is a university in every city. A race started by addressing the quality element. We are doing studies in this direction. Governor Necmeddin Kılıç stated that the cooperation between the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency and HÜBTUAM after the tests of medical devices is very important and the authorization certificate obtained, "This certificate is a step that can open auspicious horizons for Çorum." he spoke. Governor Kılıç pointed out that Çorum is in the middle development trap just like Turkey and said, “If we cross the line we are based on, new horizons will open before us. Moreover, Çorum has a very strong industrial infrastructure for this.
